Ellie Sass, EIT - Structural Designer

Ellie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and works as a structural designer at Verdant. Her experience since joining Verdant has spanned a diverse range of projects across the country, including ADUs, hemp houses in Maine, straw bale remodels in Ohio, and residential projects that blend bio-based and conventional building materials.

She enjoys working on a wide range of structural systems and materials, from conventional construction to alternative building methods, with a focus on practical, buildable engineering solutions. Alongside her design work, Ellie supports the firm’s marketing efforts through website design, printed media, and presentations. 

Outside the office, Ellie enjoys lyra (aerial hoop), arts and crafts, and spending time with her cat, Meatball.
