SOLAR CAR WASH
Located on San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley, the Solar Car Wash offers drivers an environmentally friendly way to keep their cars clean, powered by a custom solar photovoltaic array. The tunnel is light-frame wood and concrete masonry construction, designed to contain state-of-the-art wash equipment in a compact, low-profile package. Waterproofing and drainage details were coordinated closely between Verdant Structural Engineers and DSA Architects to make sure it performs as good as it looks.
