UTAH STRAW BALE RESIDENCE
Located in Huntsville, UT, this custom residential straw bale house consists of four circular yurt-type structures at the corners, bridged by a curved glulam ridge beam down the center of the main living space. The straw bale shear walls are finished with mesh and structural lime plaster at the perimeter walls, with curved conventional wood-framed shear walls at interior walls. With custom copper roofing, this house integrates well with the surrounding Utah landscape.
