PIE RANCH AND TRACTOR BARN

Pie Ranch’s mission is to cultivate a healthy and just food system from seed to table through food education, farmer pathways, and regional partnerships. VSE is working on multiple buildings on this property. This particular project is a rebuild of the historic Steele House which was burned in the 2020 CZU fire. The rebuild features strawbale insulated walls and slurry piers to merge sustainable engineering practices with the unique site conditions of being directly over a seismic fault and in a fire zone.
